WTH - Why does assist/intent not support fan set percentage

Seems odd to me that Assist can set the percentage of the fan but can a light?

Trying to get rid of Siri and Alexia which can both voice assist setting the fan speeds…

It may depend on the device and/or fan that you use.
I have 4 ceiling fans with ZWave Fan switches and I have 3 speeds that can be controlled in HA.

my fans are working fine in HA. It’s the assist and intents that do not allow a set percentage (speed).

+1 to this thread. I never realized how often I used voice to control fan speed until I no longer had the option.

I’ve tried to get more visibility on this for months now… not certain how we get this raised. Seems like a no brainer… but for whatever reason, I can’t get custom intents to work right with it.

trying to keep this alive… how do we get this on the roadmap? Seems so silly to not have fan set speed/percentage just like lights.

This is not the place for a Feature Requests. This post is in Configuration. If you want help with making a custom intent for it, then request help in this category. Otherwise, bumping this thread does nothing.

Also, Feature Requests are not guarenteed to be picked up and developed unless you have the abilities to add the code yourself.
