WTH Why is there not an option to trash statistic or state history when you delete an entity?

There really needs to be the option when deleteing a entity to ask the user "Preserve (statistical history or state history) assoiciated to this entity ID? By defult this value should be unchecked (AKA delete all history). HA should delete historical data for an entity unless the user WANTS to preservie it.

I disagree with delete being the default, but I like the idea in general. You’ve got my vote

Yeah I am okay with what ever the default is. Please just give us the option to delete :slight_smile:
