Wyoming Protocol - After updating to HA 2025.5.4 upwards

Wyoming Protocol has been identified as causing OOM issues (possibly others) upon upgrading to Home Assistant 2025.5.4.

Same thing on 2026.6.0.

Should I go for 2026.6.1 ?

I cannot disable Wyoming Protocol as I need it to run my local ESP32 voice command boxes.

Would anyone happen to know if this issue has been resolved please? Or whether there is a proper fix in the pipeline?

Kindly see: Memory leak when Assist Microphone addon is running with Wyoming integration on HA Core 2026.4.3 · Issue #168653 · home-assistant/core · GitHub
and Wyoming Protocol / Assist Microphone leaking memory since last HA Core (2026.4) or possibly HA OS (17.2) update · Issue #167971 · home-assistant/core · GitHub

I do not need Assist Microphone - but definitely need Wyoming Protocol. My question is - would running only Wyoming Protocol still wreak the same havoc?

Until this is settled, I have to stick to HA 2025.5.1 :(((

Thanks everything

Problem still not resolved by HA 2026.6.2 :(((

It seems that with every change log, this Assitant Microphone + Wyoming Protocol issue is not mentioned as having been addressed.

Can someone PLEASE help? I can never upgrade HA at this rate.

Could someone check this please? It has not been resolved yet. I tried to upgrade to HA 2026.6.2 and had to roll-back.

Issue appears to have something to do with Assist Microphone + Wyoming Protocol.

Thanks

Assistant Microphone is deprecated , use Assist Satellite

Thank you - I have taken your advice.

I will post updates here for the benefit of other users too.

Thanks everything working fine so far.
