Wysesense support in later versions of HA

I have a few Wyzesense sensors v2 that work quickly and reliably and are embedded in my HA system. However, support was dropped for the sensors beginning, I think, in 2025. I haven’t upgraded to the most recent version of Home Assistant simply because of the dropped support for these sensors. I am currently on core 2024.7.4 and I want to upgrade if I can keep my sensors working. One of the applications I use the sensors for is to turn on a pantry light once the door is opened. It responds almost instantaneously and the light is on before the door is completely opened. I’ve tried other solutions like Zigbee but there’s too much of a delay in responding.

Is Wyzesense still not working in the newest versions of HA? I’ve tried poring over the internet to find an answer but I have been unsuccessful so far.

If you are running a 2 year old version of HA, you are in a world of hurt updating.
Sooo much has changed…

My suggestion to keep the house running, work on the update at the same time, and solve your sensor problem is get another device to use as a server, load HA, pull your back-up into it, and spend some time figuring out what is what. If you are running an old PI I would suggest an update anyway for that reason as well.
