Has anyone figured out how to control the Wyze cameras using some combination of IFTTT and the new Webhooks feature? I am trying to use HA to tell the cameras when to arm/disarm. Video feed into HA would be great as well but that doesn’t seem possible at this point. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Check out https://openip.cam/. It allows you to pull an RTSP feed off the Wyzw cam. Not exactly what you were looking for, but it will allow you integrate the camera feed into HASS.
Thanks for the info, @atomicpapa. It’s not exactly what I’m looking for but it’s pretty interesting. I thought I remembered seeing some drawbacks to the openip setup? Does it have all the features of the Wyze default software?
Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t yet own any Wyze cams but I have heard good things about OpenIP and plan on installing it on mine when I get them.
Don’t use openIP, it hasn’t been updated in eons. Use https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks if you’re going to go that route.
The main drawbacks are that it didn’t have autonight mode (it now does, though it’s imperfect/still a tad buggy) and no 1080p resolution (which can be done but requires some flashing that could brick your cam unless you fix it by solder).
