Wyze Integration not working after update

New to Home Assistant - and my Wyze integration stopped working after today's update. Anyone have a suggestion to fix it, or can it be fixed? Plan on removing the Wyze stuff as time and funds allow.

I am having the same problem. My Wyze Cam stopped working after todays update.
Sorry but I don't have a solution.

When I try to reload the integration it says:
Failed setup, will retry: Unable to login due to network issues

I had the same problem and haven't found a solution. I restored the backup taken prior to the upgrade and the integration is fully functional again

I have the same problem, Also switchbot cloud is not loading, Thankfully I'm running on promox and just did a restore and we're back

Same issue for me. I tried updating my api key, but that didn't fix it. This might be my sign to finally replace the remaining Wyze devices. I've been slowly replacing them over the years do to their lack of support for Home Assistant.

The work around posted in GitHub fixes the problem.

sorry can't find work around. can anyone point me to it?

Well someone post here once a permanent fix is done please? Thanks

I assume no fix yet?

In case you are still having issues, check the steps in this post.

With this most recent update, I was able to get things working again. Things didn’t work immediately for me, so I had to do these steps:

  1. Update HomeAssistant, the Wyze plugin, etc, and reboot.
  2. Look at the plugin page on your HA instance: ...:8123/config/integrations/integration/wyzeapi
  3. You might see errors in the logs. I saw these errors.
  4. Click the Add entry button on the Wyze plugin page. The “Enter Wyze Login Credentials” pops up.
  5. Log into your Wyze account. If you didn’t have one created already, create and provide a developer API key for your Wyze account: Developer Api Console - WYZE

After logging into the plugin again, my devices are all working again. No un/re-install needed.

It may be nice for a note to be put in the latest release notes suggesting users log in again after ensuring everything is up-to-date. That would have saved me an hour or so.

I’m not sure if this was fixed by something by Wyze or the latest plugin update, but things seem to be working again. I’m not sure if this issue should be closed or not. (Also, is this a duplicate of #876 ?)

I completely agree with you and would think there are enough people that have been scammed into buying Wyze products (including me) that could benefit from this little tidbit of information.

Wyze has put itself on that list of companies that I would like to see out of business due to their tactics and lack of concern about security.
