So, the problem is: I have some sensors in my garden house connected to HASS via IPSec VPN set up on routers (Zyxel Keenetic). On the remote area I have Aqara Hub, is there any way to make HASS in local area to see the Hub in other subnetwork? For now I see only “ERROR (SyncWorker_10) [xiaomi_gateway] Cannot connect to Gateway” messages.
I’d just get a second pi with HA on it to use in your remote location. Then use the REST API to get the states.
There is also a custom component which lets you use multiple HA instances within the HA webinterface.
Yes, I keep in mind this solution too, but maybe there’s a chance to make it simpler…
It could be possible, if - you can bridge the VPN and your lans in the routers. Downside of this - your Local Router will have to be the only DHCP server, otherwise you’ll have two dhcp servers. If that’s not acceptable there’s no other way to do it. The Aqara hub uses multicast and this won’t traverse different LAN segments.
