You just have to install the latest alpha and check if it works.

I kept running into these problems too so ended up building something for it. Sign in with your Mi account and you get the floor plan as a camera entity and a Lovelace card that updates live. If you'd rather skip the account, IP and token still gets you full local control, just no map.
Why use this instead of Xiaomi Home - Home Assistant ? Definitely interested if it will get me per-room cleaning and a working map.
Extra bonus (may be impossible), I'd love to define its rooms from within HA as in the app they frequently... delete themselves.
