Xiaomi Gateway - Few Questions

So i got hold of a Xiaomi gateway and a few switches.

Got it all working great through HA…

3 Switches in total…

1 X Doorbell
2 X Light Switches.

My main issue is that the gateway is downstairs and i can’t hear the doorbell when i’m upstairs.

I havn’t had a huge amount of time to play with it, but i’m assuming when i’m using

    action: 
      service: xiaomi_aqara.play_ringtone
      data:
        gw_mac: 34CE00923DDC
        ringtone_id: 10
        ringtone_vol: 8

The ringtone_vole maximum value is 10?

If i were to get a second gateway and put it upstairs, could I tell my 1 button to play the doorbell sound on both gateways by altering the automation?

Try ringtone_vol: 100

I think it’s very loud!

Yes, you can make an automation to trigger both gateways.
The sound might not be synchronized.

Yeah, vol is VERY loud at 100. I only have 1 gateway though.

Also going to unashamedly plug my own xiaomi question that got no answers at Trying to understand xiaomi config

oooh… i figured it was 1 - 10… nice… I’ll try that the next time the family are out of the house :slight_smile:

That’s not a problem… however if the volume goes up to 100 i may not need it after all :slight_smile:
