Xiaomi Gateway integration between Aqara and Mijia?

Hy,
I’m using Xiaomi in my system, but only with devices from the Mijia family:

  • 1 Original Xiaomi Mi Smart WiFi Remote Control Multi-functional Gateway
  • 4 Xiaomi Yeelight YLDP02YL
  • 2 Xiaomi PHILIPS Zhirui Smart LED Bulb E14 Candle Lamp
  • 1 Xiaomi Yeelight YLDD01YL
  • 1 Original Xiaomi Mi Smart Temperature and Humidity Sensor
  • 4 Original Xiaomi Smart Wireless Switch
-11 Original Xiaomi Smart Door and Windows Sensor
  • 1 Original Xiaomi Smart Human Body Sensor

Now, in order to cover all my house, I will need to buy a new Gateway.

I would like to give a try to the Aqara models, with HomeKit integration, and I will buy the following:

  • 2 Aqara WSDCGQ11LM Temperature Humidity Sensor
  • 2 Aqara Smart Water Sensor

My questions are:

  • Can I use only one app to control all my devices? Or it will act like 2 diferent systems?
  • Can I control all my devices with HomeKit?
  • Will I have problems with HA integration, for being 2 diferent Gateways?

Thanks

You have homekit integration through HA. No need to buy a compatible gateway.

I would advice to look into the zigbee2mqtt or deconz solution which creates a real zigbee mesh network. This is much more reliable as two Xiaomi gateways since they work independant of eachother. I’ve been there, used to have two Xiaomi gateways but moved to Deconz.

Thank you, I will learn more about these 2

But, If I don’t have the know how to configure neither of them, will these new devices be able to interact with the Original Gateway, or is it better to buy the Original One’s?
