Maybe a stupid question, But which integration do i have to use to get the smart humidifier 2 into my HA installation? Do i need additional hardware for this?
I see a couple of official integrations in HA for xiaomi and a couple of hacs things, But which one do i use?
I prefer a local connection if possible.

Yes, you have to connect the humidifier to the Xiaomi Home app first.
Then i used the Xiaomi Miio integration in HA to get the data fro the cloud.
The device is working fine now is HA.
Thanks. I want to try this humidifier but I “prefer” local connection (did you figure out any solution) and need to know if the tank is empty to get notified.

Late suggestion. Maybe it helps somebody else.
You can get the dumb version.
That one has only a rotational button hardware.
Let it ON with the wanted level set and use a smart plug to turn it on.

Currently I can only switch it on and off.
I would like to set the target humidity and the mode (low, mid, …).
I was able to configure the attribute target_level but I am not sure how to set via UI.
