I bought this of Gearbest https://www.gearbest.com/robot-vacuum-accessories/pp_1306883.html?wid=1433363 with the hope I can connect it to my HA to control smart switches depending on temps.
I saw that you can add the sensor by grabbing the MAC address by connecting to a phone and using an app to get the MAC. This worked great and I now see the device on home assistant but the values aren’t updating.
It’s working in the MI Home app so i know the connection is with the gateway I have but it’s not getting through to HA. Is there something i’m doing wrong?

- platform: mitemp_bt
mac: 4C65A8DCBEA6
name: Temp sensor
force_update: true
median: 1
monitored_conditions:
- temperature
- humidity

I have changed force update to be true

I have the Xiaomi Thermostat Accuracy Temperature Humidity Monitor
https://www.gearbest.com/robot-vacuum-accessories/pp_1306883.html?wid=1433363
which doesn’t look to be supported.
i did post about why it isn’t working which you can find here.

Yep thanks the mac needed to be with the : init.
Annoying as the Xiaomi gateway didn’t want them in so got confused.
Thanks again Jon.
