Yale Conexis L2

Good Morning,

I have a Yale Conexis L2 that I used to have connected to Homeseer and now migrating across to HA.

I have both the Yellow Access Module and the Green Z Wave Module. Homeseer was setup using the Zwave Module.

Just looking at some setup instructions for HA, It looks like its integrated by access the yale app, and therefore uses the Yellow Access Module. It also looks like communication is limited to Battery Status and Lock Operation.

Does anyone know if “Lock Operation” allows for both Indication of if the lock status (unlocked / locked), and if the lock can actually be operated from thew app?

If not, does Ha have a plugin that works with the Zwave yale module that can do those tasks?

Cheers
Russ

I have the same lock and use the Zwave module, just added it like any other Zwave device. Everything works as it should for me.

Thank you for the reply.

I just gave the integration a go via the access module and signing in to the Yale Plugin. It seems to give quite alot of the key parameters, and allows you setting up automations.
The only thing that I can not seem to see if it giving a parameter on “who” opened the door (via fob or app). Any one know if thats possible?

I’ll give it ago via the Z-Wave Module as well, I guess you get more parameters via Zwave?

Which zwave module are you using with the L2? And are you getting status reported correctly?

This one. Yes it’s all reporting correctly. It doesn’t show who’s opened the door though, which would be a nice to have and can live without that information. But all the useful information is available, Battery status, door status, lock status and the likes.

Great, thanks so much for the info. I’m hesitant to use the default Yale integration because of the internet dependency and possible latency so this would be a great alternative.

Also being in the US, the region locking makes everything more difficult.

That module is hard to come by nowadays but they pop up on eBay every so often.

@Maximo what z wave antenna/hardware are you using to interface with the sd-m1100? Been eyeing the connect zwa-2 for this purpose

Hi @davsui,

According to my zwave2mqtt interface I have a Silicon Labs 700/800 series USB dongle. I believe this is the one I have.

Hope that helps.
