Anyone know if it’s possible to retrieve the user that unlocked a Yale lock (YRD256 specifically) with the Yale Zigbee module? Would like to add a “who unlocked the lock” detector for stuff like presence, etc.
Have a CC2531, so can use ZHA or zigbee2mqtt.
I have no idea about your lock, but I have a zwave module in a yale conexis l1 and the lock attributes provide who unlocked the door, provided a fob is used
(If I use HA the lock obviously does not know which HA user unlocked the door)
I also have the conexis L1 and it just tells you the fob number
You have to then use a lookup to determine who the user is
The lock in question is only keypad, so no fobs involved. Was just hoping there would be some way to retrieve the user index (I know that the lock stores users indexed) and map that to people. I’ve heard of people getting more information back through Z-Wave, but that’s not a route I’m interested in going down.
