Yellow box POE - SSD issue

Hi all,

I just install a yellow box with a CM4004008. MMC is just but i wanted to use a ssd with 128 Go.
Everything was fine but when i go to settings @ system there is no SSD and i am not able to move storage.
M.2 SSD has blue lights. Then it seems powered by the yellow box.
The yellow box is a POE box.

M.2 SSD has not been formatted. I just put it directly from the box to yellow box. Is it mandatory?
I have no PC then if it is mandatory how to do it?

Any idea how to solve this?

Do you confirm you’re using a working SSD?

Hi koying Chris B,
the SSD is an (Intenso) M.2 SSD TOP 128 Gb.
I bought it on the same website than the Yellow box.

That’s a SATA SSD, you need a NVMe (aka PCIe) one.

Yes that one.
Ok… So I have to buy another one if I well understand.
A NVMe SATA instaed of this of this SSD M.2. They look same things for me OO’.

I will check the list of Supported SSD as you indicated.

M.2 is the form factor. A M.2 SSD can be SATA or NVMe. Yellow only supports NVMe.
