I filed an issue on GitHub, but it was just closed as no plan to implement, which I think was an automated process in Github.
When YoLink plugs go offline (e.g. power is removed from them, a GFCI they are plugged into trips), they appear as “Offline” in the YoLink app. However, in Home Assistant, they still appear available and you can toggle them (although that does not actually work as the switch is offline). Typically in HA an entity would be “Unavailable” in this state. This causes problems with automations and also we cannot alert or sense if a switch has gone offline and know we need to go reset it
This is an important feature that makes outdoor plugs difficult to use without. Often outdoor plugs are plugged into GFCI outlets, which can trip (especially with Christmas lights or extension cords). Without an unavailable state, HA and the user has no idea the outlet is no longer working. This was a problem for my automations and obviosuly for the lights themselves going on/off. With a property that is remote, I also did not know for a week that my outdoor security lights were not going on at night.
Can you please revisit and I’d love to see if we can get this implemented as it’s a critical feature for me at least.
