Your installation is unhealthy

So I’m running an unsupported version of homeassistant and homeassistant supervisor with a few addons. Everything was working perfectly until .118.4 and I can’t do anything now. I’m getting a “Your installation is running in an unhealthy state” with the only message being:

Running an unhealthy installation will cause issues. Below is a list of issues found with your installation, click on the links to learn how you can resolve the issues.

The Docker environment is not working properly

but this isnt helpful at all. I want to figure out why its actually failing like what condition is being met. Not a list of requirements that it thinks might help. Im currently running on an esxi host with a debian 9 vm. Here is information about my host:

Operating System

Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)

Docker version

19.03.14

is there anything I can do to either A just remove this health check or B fix the problem at hand. Preferably id like to get rid of this blocker, I’ve been running unsupported for over a year now with no problems being able to solve most of the problems on my own. If I’m being blocked by something I’d rather is not be homeassistant thinking its doing me a favor by saying I can’t update anything.

Update to Debian 10 and update docker

So I updated to debian 10, now running docker version 20.10.1 but still getting installation is running an unhealthy state. Any idea?

What does the supervisor log say? It will give pretty specific reasons. You might need to restart supervisor if it’s scrolled off the screen. Do you run watchtower by any chance?

Was that after restarting supervisor and refreshing? The error will normally be red colour and while I see the unsupported message there I don’t see why. The log seems incomplete.

Docker logging driver json-file is not supproted!
The configuration of Docker is not supported …
Supervisor does not run in Privileged mode…

Alright ran it, rebooted. Still getting Supervisor does not run in Privileged mode

Same reason? Might need to Google docker logging… also look at what the script is doing- perhaps it won’t overwrite? I’m pretty sure I had the same issue way back and manually added the json file which fixed it.

What json file? There are less errors then before, just the one above. Just ran the script again but nothing changed from docker so I think everything is what it needs to be. How do i modify what ever json to make it work properly?

You need to see what file the script is writing. I can’t check this right now (on mobile) but the script is writing to a json file the docker logging config.

Okay I think I got it working. I had to force remove the old container once I ran the script. Seems to be working now. I found a helpful hint here https://github.com/home-assistant/supervisor/issues/2351#issuecomment-739890258. Thanks for all your help!
