My Z-Wave Dongle and Z-Wave Aeotec HEM (3 phase) has been working fine for a long time, but just recently the system failed stating that the integration was not available, even though when I went into the Z-Wave dashboard and opened up the details for the HEM I can see all the data is being sent - HA is simple no longer seeing it.
I decided to start again from scratch but have a few questions.
The previous guides I followed referred to the z-wavejsui add-on but now it seems these add-ons have been renamed to “Apps”. I assume in all other respects this ammounts to the same thing?
Can I therefore check the procedure for putting everything back together? I remember that z-wavejsui is the part of the system which interacts with the z-wave devices and when HA tries to jump in and have me configure z-wavejs instead I should simply ignore this. If I did configure z-wavejs it would compete with z-wavejsui and I would not get a good result?

I’m thinking you may actually be getting a warning that the integration no longer supports a particular HEM entity. It may be that another HEM entity that does the same thing was created which obsoleted an earlier one. Not sure, but if the ZWaveJS UI is showing things are fine with the HEM, then likely that is the problem.
Yes they are now called Apps. Also be aware that a month or two ago, that ZWaveJS App added UI capability, so the ZWaveJS-UI App may have a limited maintenance life going forward. So since you are starting from scratch I would use the ZWaveJS App/AddOn.

Thanks for this - it was it seems an update that enabled z-wavejs and this was competing with z-wavejsui which had been working just fine.
I have removed z-wavejsui and re-enabled z-wavejs - and (this is great) find that it has all the features of z-wavejsui I need - including the ability to set custom parameters for reporting by the Aeotec HEM.
Everything is working just fine again and z-wavejs has picked up all of the settings previously created for this device. Amazing. I just hope there isn’t another change in this kind of thing for at least a year. It is disconcerting when it happens. The time between these changes happening usually means I have forgotten exactly how it was previously set up (actually I don’t live my life inside HA setting ;-). At least using z-wavejs instead of z-wavejsui removes one extra layer of complexity and fiddly setup so if I need to recreate all of this in the future it should take less time.
