Z-Wave aeotec Stick and Zigbee2mqtt with ConBee Stick on the same RPI

Hi,

i bought recently a Z-Wave USB Stick from aeotec. After i connected the stick to my RPI4 and configured the integration zigbee2mqtt went down. Is there known conflict in with combination running and connected to the same host.

I am using Home Assistant OS and bothe sticks were connected via a short USB cable to the RPI in order to avoid interferences.

Does someone has experienced something similar?

If you did not use the by-id address for your stick then when you added another device to the USB Bus, the address your old stick was on may have changed. Which would cause the addin to stop - cant find the stick.

What was the address in your configuration file for the stick before you made the configuration change. What is the patth to the stick now?

In order to get zigbee2mqtt back running i removed the Z-Wave Stick
In the Add-On config for z2m i used only the device path
/dev/ttyACM0

and not the by-id
ID:/dev/serial/by-id/usb-dresden_elektronik_ingenieurtechnik_GmbH_ConBee_II_DE2118725-if00

So you think i should adjust first z2m config with the by-id and then try to connect the Z-Wave Stick ?

Do i need to add the whole path from the by-id?

Yes use the by-id path. It prevents exactly this problem.
