I connected my first z-wave device (which had been working fine for a long time in homeseer) to HA. It’s a Zooz ZEN15. It created entities for the switch and the sensors, but it did not create devices. It seems that I can’t set the area for the thing because you can only assign devices to areas.
Does this sound like correct behavior? If not, how can I fix it? I’m using the “regular” z-wave integration, not the “Z-Wave (Beta)” integration, all installed via the UI.
My Z-Wave integration has created devices so I’m not sure why you haven’t got them. I am able to assign them to areas without any trouble
So, interestingly… I restarted HA and now the devices have appeared. Strange… shrug it’s fixed so all is well.
Are you just starting? What zwave, ozw, zwave2mqtt or qt openzwave? Have you perhaps created the integration "before everything else? If qt and so try removing the integration and add it back.
Edit sorry, now the that you are using the regular… then I don’t know.
I think it’s ozw. It’s definitely not zwave2mqtt. I’m using the Nortek stick. Should I be using something different?
