I got 3 Aeotec Zwave Door Sensor Window Sensors. Two of them came with the latest firmware (2.2.1), but one came with an older firmware (2.2). Home Assistant shows me that there is an update to the sensor that has an older firmware, but won’t install it. I get an error message
Failed to call service update/install. unknown error
Not all sensors are working. I am assuming that’s because of the firmware. Not sure how to troubleshoot this.
What ZWave integration are you using? (ZWaveJS or ZWaveJSUI?)
What does the log say?
Do you have any other devices besides the sensors?
(firmware install can be hindered by comms issues which would also make things not work right, so I don’t think the firmware is the cause, rather the symptom)
I am using Z-Wave JS.
I took the sensor with the old firmware off and requested a replacement.
I have 40 devices on my Z-Wave network. Most are Z-Wave and some are WiFi (Kasa and Shelly) devices.
I am actually running an update for my Aeotec Extender 7, which is at 44% so far. Seems to be going ok. We’ll see when it finishes the update.
Aeotec Extender 7 updated successfully. Not sure what can cause the sensor not to update.
