Z-Wave device showing as 'Unknown Node' after moving to Hassio

Hi,

I have successful be running HomeAssistant using a Raspbian setup for the past year along with Z-Wave devices. I’ve decided to switch to Hass.io to simplify my setup. Have managed to get most things working fine, except one of my Z-Wave devices (Hank button) is showing up as ‘Unknown Node 8’ (Node 8: Probe) in the Z-Wave control panel. All the other nodes from either Aeontech or Fibaro appear to be fine. The only issue seems to be with the Hank button.
I had a look in the z-wave configuration file from my old setup and there is a whole section for this particular device. I copied and pasted this section into the new config file, but it seemed to revert back to the original one on reboot. In fact, I don’t remember having to add anything to the config file under Raspbian except a few settings to configure the scenes for the Hank – I assumed the device was just picked up.

Any thoughts?

I kind of got it working by stoping home assistant and replacing the configuration file before rebooting.

However, I’m a bit unsure of the entire process of how this is meant to work. I thought the config file was automatically generated form devices it was able to detect. When I deleted the config file, the replacement file was a lot smaller and ever more of my devices where not recognised.

Is there a way to force a refresh of this file ?
