Since upgrading to 0.83 I have been experiencing a couple of Z-Wave related issues:
Some of my devices that appear in the OZWLog.txt are not being populated into their corresponding HA entities ie. I have a NeoCoolCam PIR Node024 that regularly posts into Z-Wave log but the corresponding HA entity does not exist
The non python Z-Wave mapping UI no longer renders anything
I just removed Node024 using the Z-Wave configuration menu and re-added using “Add Node Secure” - I now have Node025 and a new HA entity.
I tried to go in and do the rename - failed I still have the OLD zwave.study_pir defined even though it does not show up in the list of entities:
In the old days I would go and delete the entity registry and let it redefine itself on start up and clean up these kind of issues - I am not sure what to do now?
I have a number of these plus an unknown Node011 to deal with…its a mess:
I’ve run in to the exact same issue… After a reboot the device in HA doesn’t exist anymore. Don’t know if I should have done a “Save config” under Z-wave or not.
No - I’ve been through about four rebuilds in the last month as a result of this.
I am starting to think that this is related to shutting down HA while Z-wave is in the middle of starting up. After a restart it seems to get stuck and no longer recognises z-wave devices being reported by the controller - the controller is still happily chatting away with the device but HA wants nothing to do with them.
For now I am limiting my HA restarts to once a day and only for really important stuff
