Z-Wave JS "needs attention" - Failed set up

I’ve had an Aeotec Z-Wave controller and HA set up on RP for several years now. This happened a few months ago, and a simple full reboot fixed it. But that’s not helping this time.

It’s giving “Failed setup, will retry: Failed to connect: Cannot connect to host core-zwave-js:3000 ssl:default [Connect call failed (‘172.30.33.2’, 3000)]” and then turns into “Failed setup, will retry: None”.

I only have JS. Nothing happened when it all went down - I left the house, giving it my usual “I’m leaving” and it turned off the lights and then when I returned, nothing. Everything Z-Wave was unavailable.

Everything is at the current updates now, that didn’t help the fix. Reboots not helping. Disabled/re-enabled, not working. If I try to reconfigure it instantly says “failed to connect”.

Nothing in the logs cause it’s been down for over a week. It’s just like it’s gone.

I don’t know what else to try. Kind of ready to delete the entire thing and re-install and re-link everything - but that feels like a lot of effort so I thought I’d check here for any other suggestions first!

Just to doublecheck. You don’t have both zwavejs and ZwavejsUI installed?

i went looking for the logs and found zwavejsUI in the log options. i cant find it anywhere else though to fully remove it if it is still in my system. how do i actually find it? it’s not in my usual devices & integrations where the main Z Wave is

genius! that did it. damn hidden things. removed it and reconfigured zwave and now we’re functional again. thanks!
