Z-Wave JS - Zooz 800 Series - CT101 Thermostat

I’ve been using a Radio Thermostat Ct101 with Home Assistant supervised running on an old lenovo laptop with Aeotec usb stick for few years and I recently got a Home Assistant yellow with Zooz 800 Series GPIO Module. I’m using Z-Wave JS in both instances of Home Assistant. I wanted to set up the Yellow fresh rather than from backup so I removed the CT101 from the original setup and added it to Z-Wave JS on the yellow. I can ping it from Z-Wave JS UI in yellow and I can change the temp settings and I see all values from the thermostat in the yellow. My issue is I don’t have a climate entity via Settings Entities or Developer tools. I can only control the thermostat from Z-Wave JS UI. Z-Wave JS UI shows Beaming but no security or Zwave+. I’ve un-paired - reset the CT101 - and re-paired multiple times. I’ve rebooted the Yellow a couple times. Nothing seems to make a difference I always end up with full control via Z-Wave JS UI and no entity so nothing to automate or add to a dashboard. Not sure what I’m missing. Any guidance would be appreciated.

You describe how you’ve got the Z-wave add-on setup but what about the Z-wave integration? Are you using the Z-wave JS UI websockets server or MQTT?

Do you have the Z-wave integration installed and do you have other Z-wave devices that appear outside of the CT101?

For Z-wave to work in Home Assistant you have 2 paths:

Z-wave Add-on > Websockets > Z-wave integration > Devices/entities

This is the most common.

or alternatively

------------------------------------Home Assistant------------------------------------------------
Z-wave add-on > MQTT > MQTT Broker > MQTT integration > Devices/Entities

Either way, you won’t get any Z-wave devices/entities without all components of each path.

There are settings for each of those options in the Z-wave JS UI configuration. Have you confirmed those?
