Z wave micro smart switch

Hi all,

Only me again looking for some more advice

In my hallway I have a normal light switches downstairs and upstairs that controller the same light. All my other lights in the house are controlled by hue and I need to be able to automate these aswell but cost to much as they are gu10 bulbs.

my question is do I need to purchase 2 of these for each switch or will one work just fine?

Is this even the right thing? A dimmer might be good on it also for motion night light but I don’t watch actual dimmer switches installed.

Many thanks

Mike

Here is what I used for my three way switch:

Not positive if the micro switch would work for three-way, looks like it is designed to control a single switch

Cheers buddy am in the UK so not sure these will work for me. I should of said this earlier my apologises.

Thanks for your input though mate

The micro switch could work for your situation. Take a look at Aeotecs wiring schematics for examples. There are a few for 3 way both with live wiring or without on the manual switch side.

Your configuration will really will depend on how your existing 3-way switch is currently wired and where the power enters the circuit (into the light or into a switch) and if there is an actual neutral you can use (and not a neutral, being used as a traveler). They can be confusing so if you don’t know what your looking at, it is probably best to get an electrician to help you out.

Thank’s buddy I will look into this more. I actually have a 2 way switch I need to double check if a neutral cable in installed.

Thanks
