Z wave Not including Devices

I changed my zwave “dongle”. to a ZWA-2 and didn’t know or forgot to exclude my z-wave devices I am trying factory reset the devices which has been kind of hit or miss. I had success on light switches I am getting this error on sensors

This device has been provisioned but is not yet included in the network.

I waited over night and still they still aren’t included

Today is my first foray into Z-wave.
I successfully set up my new Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2 and have added
2 x Shelly Wave Motion Sensors but they are both showing:-
This device has been provisioned but is not yet included in the network.

I have just tried adding a Shelly Wave 1 with the same result.

Please help.

At this point you would power on the devices and they will self-include.

If you powered on the devices before scanning the QR codes, then you may need to power cycle them, or trigger the inclusion process or factory reset. That may be described in the user manual.

I forgot to mention that I have HA on docker compose and successfully have
Z-wave js.
Maybe that is the problem?
I couldn’t find docker compose instructions for ZWA-2
Tomorrow I will see if it works on my HAOS

if you say so. … scanned told to cycle did so headed off into provisioning land to never return. I was trying Otha ZSE Sensor from ZOOZ. Ok what I did next, (please not the is what woke for me…(by no means do I present this as THE solution). Also I am running HAOS

1 I tried excluding the device – no joy
2 II went toe. Z-wave Integration
3. Selected the infamous “gear”
4. Choose “provisioned items”
5. found my two items which were unprovisioned and selected the trash can to delete them
6. Went back top add device
7. choose moe options
8. selected “search for device”
9. Under Advanced Security option"
10. Selected “secure is possible”
11. Put the sensor in incusion mode
12. after brief wait it worked for me

Like I said I only present this as something that worked for me

Summary to date:-
I have tried several methods on 2 computers (1 x HAOS and 1 x docker-compose)
involving factory resets and I have been successful with only 1 of the 2 Shelly Wave 1 switches.
I suspect that I have a faulty one.

I would think you are right. I zooz fill s well as ll my GE paddle switches Zooz was extremely helpful

I have the same issues across all devices, unit never finishes inclusion process. I uninstalled the zwa2 many times. I got to say this is another HAa product half baked. Dongle works great so zwa2 definitely not worth the money. Days wasted!

I forget what I was trying to say. My bottom line was that I had to factory reset all my zwave device as I failed to exclude them. Zooz was helpful for devices that were still supported. the rest …well they are happy to sell you current model.

Well if your dongle is still supported great. I have found the the ZWA-2 does increase my range. Cant compare $$ value.
