Z wave USB dongle update

My Aeotec 7 Z wave dongle has firmware 7.19.2.

It has worked flawlessly until Zwave JS 0.8.0 was released. I am now on JS 0.9.0 and 0.10.0 made the whole network unavailable. I have deleted the back-up so I can’t roll back.

I am thinking of updating the dongle firmware and I wonder if I should update the dongle in increments or just update to the latest firmware?

The documentation is a bit confusing (at least for me)

I have a alot of errors with “zwave error 202 - failed to send the command after 1 attempt zw0202”

There is no incremental update. 7.21.5 is the latest and only update provided after 7.18.

Check these troubleshooting steps as well, esp. USB extension cable:

In other words I must downgrade to 7.18.8 before updating to 7.21.5.

Or can I update directly from 7.19.2 to 7.21.5?

No, you won’t be able to downgrade (unless you install the unlocked bootloader, and downgrading might not work). I’d ask Aeotec if you’re worried about it.

Updated to 7.21.5 on Friday

Thru JS UI, it went well.

Still it is giving error 0202 failed after 1 attempt but not as often.
