Hi,
I’ve made a script to make Z2M migration/reset easier.
You simply run the script on your old installation, it will generate an inventory CSV then run again on your new installation and it will automatically rename all your devices.

Why not just copy the data directory?
I wanted to change my zigbee channel so repairing everything was the only option.
Wow! This is great, I have been planning to try a new channel to avoid some possible interference I believe is a problem upstairs, but I simply can’t be bothered due to manually rename every device after repairing would be too much work - repairing everything is certainly enough of a hassle on it’s own!
You shouldn’t need to re-pair everything.
z2m now supports changing channels.
Not all devices will recognize the change, but most will.
