ZBT-1 Matter Set Up

Hi,

I’m trying to set up ZBT-1 over Matter/Thread, but been getting the following message:

“The radio firmware on your Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 could not be determined. Make sure that no other integration or add-on is currently trying to communicate with the device. If you are running Home Assistant OS in a virtual machine or in Docker, please make sure that permissions are set correctly for the device.”

I don’t have any integrations or add-ons running it. My set up at the moment is HA Green with ZBT-1 connected over USB.

Please help on how to set up Matter/Thread on HA Green with my ZBT-1.

And you have installed the correct firmware on it?

First thing you have to do is install the ‘OpenThread Border Router’ add-on. That will also flash the correct firmware on your ZBT-1.

Once the add-on is up and running, then install the ‘Openthread’ integration.
