ZBT-2 Firmware & Z2M?

My ZBT-2 arrived but struggling to get it going…

So I can’t seem to flash via HA (per ZBT-2 Error - Zigbee firmware failed to install, check Home Assistant logs for more information - #8 by dansgalaxy) - I managed to flash it with the web flasher, and then plugged it back into my HA box but seems I still can’t add it to HA due to the firmware issue.

My goal is to migrate my Z2M from the ZBT-1 to the ZBT-2 but can’t seem to find anything on this?

Can anyone who’s managed to do this successfully provide a steer?

Hey there, I had the same issue and used the web flasher for it!
Install Firmware – Device Toolbox

Web flasher didn’t seem to do it for me, but rebooting HAos a few times seemed to get it connected in the end…

Quite surprised that it seems to have weaker LQI compared to the ZBT-1 though

I didn’t have a smooth transition either. Despite updating the ZBT-1 firmware a day before, following the Z2M configuration steps in the end I had to copy the serial location and set the baud rate for the ZBT-2. I’m also scratching my head as to why so many devices have a low (as in very) LQI than with the ZBT-1.

I have a 2nd ZBT-2 coming, that was to be used for Thread. I figure first I’ll use that to create a 2nd Z2M configuration to slowly reset devices and rebuild the network.

[shrug?]

[edit]. In case the consideration of re-doing my devices sounds odd, that’s because I was sort of forced so use ch.15 in the process of getting rid of two Hue hubs in past months. Before moving to Z2m I had to use the Hue hubs for the Aurora rotary dimmers scattered through the house. I believe (?) that it would be ideal to have the Z2M using ch.25. I think I’m just searching for reasons the LQI sorta sucks with this new coordinator. FWIW

Same! I’ve rejoined everything, but signal strength from coordinator to direct device is significantly lower than the ZBT-1… which is very strange for a much bigger antenna and increased tx power…
