Zehnder ComfoAir CA350 integration via serial connection (RS232) and MQTT

Hello,
Today i found this Page and now i want to connect my Zehnder 350 with my HomeAssistant.
Can i use directly the rs232 PC port from my Zehnder ( without changing wires) or should i use some adapters.
Thanks
I tried to understand the whole thing but it is not clear for me.

Yes, you can use the RS232 port on your PC. Just make sure that you don’t connect the +12VDC on Zehnder 350 side as you’d burn your PC’s motherboard.

And one question: what are you running on this PC with RS232 port? At this stage I’d recommend to go with the HACS integration as based on my experience it is the most complete and easiest to set up just with HA. No other hardware or software components would be needed in your case.

No, my pc does not have a rs232 port
But the Zehnder 350.
I thought I can use this with a normal rs232 usb converter
The mini pc is standing on top of the zehnder

OK, clear. I have not used the RS232 port (DB9 - marked as P.C.) on Zehnder but I’ve connected this side to the RS232 - KFB port. You can use either the screw terminals or the RJ45 port - they are electrically connected. Just don’t connect the 12V one.

Wow, it was realy easy to install.
But my temperaturs are looking a bit strange.

Hello, just for my understanding: does this mean I’m taking air from outside at 31° and putting inside at 29.5° but taking air from home at 27,5° and returing outdide at 31°? As I have the aircons on does this mean I’ve taking cooler air from inside and put it outside? Should I switch off the Comfoair while cooling home?

Another question: anyone managed to have both the esp32 and the Comfosense working together with the latest release? I’m trying to proxy it but keep getting errors :frowning:

Thanks for supporting!

Generally speaking that’s correct. Probably the temp sensors are not perfectly precise as the exhaust temperature shouldn’t be higher than the intake temperature in this situation.

Definitely not! Comfoair is not to manage your house temperature but to deliver fresh air and remove bad air with as little energy wasted as possible. As you can see it is actually doing its job by lowering the supply temp compared to intake temp.

Many thanks!
