Hello, does anyone have an issue with the roller shade reporting the wrong state. When I fully close my shade it changes the position to 0 after closing and shows the state as open. Thanks
I’ve been using the battery powered Matter based version for over a year now. Model is Zemismart MT25B. Sharing some experiences for those looking at the non-zigbee version.
We have 10 of them in our apartment, and mostly they work great. The charge holds for 4-6 months and they play nice inside HA. But I have a lot of issues with some of them dropping off the Threads/Matter network and just not coming back. I end up having to reset the device, create a new device in HA and update my scripts. This gets very annoying. I reconnected two of them today, then upgraded the HA to current version, and everything came back fine. An hour later three of them were offline and haven’t come back!
I don’t have a Google or Apple border router, just the OTBR inside of HA. I have a dedicated radio for that to handle Thread. Best I can tell the blinds themselves simply get confused when signals flap. We’re in an apartment building and surrounded by lots of wireless signals, so that can be a factor as well.
Most of the blinds have been great, most of the time. But I do not recommend the Matter version at this time if you’re in an apartment. I wish I had bought the Zigbee instead.
