I’m new to HA, but starting research now because we’ll move into our own house in a few months.
For ventilation, the contractor is planning to install a decentralized system from Zewotherm, specifially the SmartFan 2.0 F. This seems to be a system for the German market and I couldn’t find much information about protocols and nothing regarding APIs.
However, it appears that the fans are identical to some other models on the marked, specifically to all those that can be controlled by the GetAir smartphone app. And they are apparently compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Even though I’m new to HA, I am an experienced coder (15+ years experience). And once we’ve moved into the new house I’ll hopefully also have more time to invest into projects such as these.
Do you think it’s possible to write an integration for this ventilation system even though there seems to be zero documentation? Or rather: is it feasible?
The manufacturer provides the API documentation if you approach them. So in case anybody would be interested in participating a developing project for a Zewotherm/GetAir-Integration, please write me a PM.
Did anyone approach you? Did you receive the API documentation? I have no experience with coding but with API a AI consultation may help for a first shot.
API documentation provided by Mmanufacturer, and indeed I can access sensor data form the GetAir API.
Unfortunately, setting values like speed etc. does not work. Manufacturer expects API malfunction and asked for patience (two months ago) in providing assistance. I will give them a notch.
I just created an account to ask you if you went any further with this?
I am currently deciding which heat recovery ventilation system I want to buy and install.
getAir/Zewotherm etc are high on the list and an easy integration would make me go with them.
I have a Pluggit iconVent SmartControl.
Since the Zewotherm SmartFan 2.0 looks similar to the Pluggit SmartControl, I guess they are the same, only with a different branding.
Would it be possible that you share your API documentation with me?
Or who did you contact to get it?
Thanks so much in advance, and I look forward to hearing from you!
