Following problems described elsewhere, I have recreated my Home Assistant as follows:
(a) put an older version of HAOA onto an SSD
(b) restore a known good backup of everything to the new system.
This has now been running for over an hour, so the previous problem of HA failing after a few minutes does not seem to be happening on the old versions, which is consistent with previous behaviour.
After the restore I got asked whether I wanted to restore the Zigbee settings from backup - I think I chose “yes”, which may or may not have been the right answer.
None of my Zigbee devices have reconnected. How do I get the Zigbee network working again please?
Any errors?
What does the zigbee log say?
Are you using a USB dongle? if so, what URL are you using for that?
The TTY ports can sometimes change internally, so it is suggested to use the /serial/by-id/ URL that always talks to your dongle by serial number so it is always right.
You can find out what that is by using: Link to Hardware – My Home Assistant
and looking for it under all hardware, something like this:
There was the original error on restarting after restoring. After I chose (I believe - I didn’t take screenshots) the “restore” option the error said it was fixed. No further errors, and nothing that I can see that’s Zigbee related in the logs.
Yes, it’s a USB dongle. I don’t know what you mean by “what URL” but I’ve found
Serial port
