Network formation refused: there is too much RF interference. Make sure your coordinator is on a USB 2.0 extension cable and away from any sources of interference, like USB 3.0 ports, SSDs, 2.4GHz routers, motherboards, etc.

really the issue?

I don’t know - is it? Do you have your dongle on an extension cable? It sort of looks like a timeout in the interview process - which would point to connection issues.

Its connected via ethernet (PoE). Not anywhere near any other devices, radio, etc.

Not sure what network formation refused means either. I have no zigbee devices setup or even powered up yet.

Ah - ok - I should have noticed that due to the model number….

There’s a whole thread about them here:

Thanks for the link. It does appear those devices aren’t without issues when using LAN/PoE (some people went through a few units before they got a working one). I have no issue connecting to it directly via browser and configuring it (so I know LAN and PoE power are working).

But for now its going back to Amazon, and I’ll be sticking with Z-wave (been using those devices for 15+ years).
