ZHA TS0011 Zigbee 1gang switch

I am fairly new to all this so apologies if I use the wrong terminology.

I have a box of 1 gang, no neutral, Martin Jerry TS0011 by _TZ3000_syoxtjf0
ZigBee single pole switches. Firmware was updated to 0x00000044

I am running HA on a raspberry PI with a SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus V2 and ZHA Connected via Generic Zigbee Coordinator (EZSP)
Firmware: 6.10.3.0 build 297

the switch was originally paired automatically as a light and both the physical button and the HA actions worked fine to toggle the switch on/off.

However, the switch will turn the light on randomly throughout the day. I notice it and will turn it off, then it will turn back on some time later (several min to an hour).

I have not seen it turn itself off, just on. I have an automation that turns it on at dusk and off at dawn and did not notice it turning off during that time.

I added the zha config to change the device type to a switch, which appeared to apply fine and everything worked as expected using the switch action. But still has that same random activity of turning the switch on.

There is no indication of why/what is turning it on in the log, just a generic “MyLight Switch turned on” log.

I searched the forum and didn’t really see anything that seemed like a similar issue. Is anyone familiar with this issue?

Thanks for the help

Quick update on this. It turned out to be a hardware issue. I swapped out the switch and everything worked as expected. So far these have been great little switches and the Manufacturer was very responsive (via Amazon seller messaging) and is sending me an updated version for a replacement of the failed switch. Impressed with their customer service.

These easily paired with my Zigbee dongle and I have not seen any other issues with any integration/automation.

It’s just a simple on/off switch, no power stats or anything but if you’re looking for a single pole, no neutral wire zigbee switch this seems to be a good option.

Please reply if you have any questions, I’d be happy to help if i can.
