ZHA will not accept the Z2M backup

Hi everyone,
I am planning to move from Z2M to ZHA. The stick remains the same and it shouldn’t be a big deal. But when I setup ZHA in HA and want to use the coordinator_backup.json, it tells me the file is invalid.

I have also reset Z2M to version 1.40 and then made a new backup. But ZHA doesn’t like that either.

I also played around with ZHA a year ago and if I don’t upload a backup but go through the setup normally, all my old devices reappear in ZHA. How can I make ZHA completely flat or does anyone else here have an idea what I could do to make it take the coordinator_backup.json after all?

Moving from Z2M to ZHA means you need to re-pair all devices.

This is not true. You can easily switch from Z2M to ZHA without having to reconnect everything. The IEEE and the PAN ID remain the same.

For this purpose, there is an explicit function in ZHA to import a backup from Z2M into ZHA.

The only problem I have is that ZHA seems to have a problem with the Z2M backup.

The docs talk about migrating between different coordinators but I can’t find anything about backing up and restoring between integrations. Could you let me have a link?

Edit: I’ve never heard of this being supported, but I found this Easily Backup & Migrate Your Zigbee Network!

I have found another link to this. Step 10 describes this in detail, but Step 9 is no longer possible, at least for me. The “coordinator_backup.json” is no longer accepted.

Can I report this as a bug somewhere here?
