I have this device that has been working until recently
It is right near a light switch which is as it be device and also very near the main antenna as well.
As you can see the battery is full
I have an automation basically you open the door and then the light turns on
Lately what is happening is that the first time you open the door the actual sensor blinks but it blinks twice like it’s thinking
The status does not update in home assistant
When you close the door it blinks one quickly and then when you open it again it blinks once quickly and then the status updates in home assistant and continues to work from then on
Almost like it’s waking up from sleep or something strange and doesn’t work the first time?
It’s a Tuya thing so likely low quality and low cost (on the average).
It may well have died.
I would try to remove it and re-interview it or replace it.
Also make sure about the distance between the magnet and the reed sensor and about the proper side of the reed sensor is facing the magnet. If those parts are too far away from each other or the reed sensor is mounted the wrong way the proper magnetic field is not applied to trigger the sensor.
