Hi. Might sound like a silly question but digging through my receipts i bought a zigbee usb node off ebay back in 22. Fits in palm of hand, metal heat sync, it was listed as SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus Smart Universal Gateway Smart Home Bridge. Listing said ZBDongle-P and I notice there are lots of not recommended devices. I am just getting it set up,
On host system it shows up as:
Bus 001 Device 010: ID 10c4:ea60 Silicon Labs CP210x UART Bridge
I believe when I got it, I updated fw to something called coordinator but I can’t remember much. I want to see if i can start using it with Sonoff devices. Previously I did get it reading a door switch and temperature sensor I had on my desk.
Q1. So you can see my coordinator fw is old. I found the github with .bin file releases. Before I sign up to TI just to get flash tool - is tool able to run on Linux? It is a shame I cannot use HA to upgrade by giving it the binary or something.
Q2. I can take latest 20240710 but from change list it not clear what is stable? Anyone have luck with specific version?
Q3. I paired a Sonoff reed switch device. It doesnt report battery percentage very good, i replaced battery and still no change. I did notice the battery holder conductors were weakly held against battery surface, pressing before insert didnt help.
Q4. The signal in room is poor, switch showed 170 on network view but now down to 59. I hope upgrading fw on coordinator will improve, do you think it will?
