Hello Home Assistant group members… I am relatively new to the HA tech and I am learning. I am looking at purchasing a zigbee hub for my HA green. My attention from came to the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 which is $147 on Amazon and is USB 2.0 and comes with the extension cable to eliminate interference from what I am reading. I also see other brands including SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus Gateway, Universal Zigbee USB Gateway with Antenna for Home Assistant on Amazon and it $40. This one does not come with the extension cable. Do they both serve the same function? I am looking to purchase zigbee devices to with work with my HA green. One has the extension cable and one does not. One is USB 2.0 and one is USB 3.0 and one is 3 1/2 times more expensive than the other. Thoughts and recommendations please.
The ZBT-1 should not be more then $45. And the Sonoff is USB 2 too. The 3 is because it is a Zigbee 3 dongle.

I bought mine from ameridroid (and other ha/iot products from them as well) they have been good thus far for me.
Thank you. I purchased it from Ameridroid as well for $45 plus shipping.
Hello!
Thank you for purchasing from ameriDroid! For reference, please do not order ZBT-1 from Amazon, Nabu Casa is the only authorized Seller of Home Assistant Devices on Amazon and currently they are only offering the HA Green and ZWA-2 there. Somebody has been selling the ZBT-1 on Amazon for over $100 without authorization. The SONOFF Dongle E uses the same chip as the ZBT-1, the Zi-Stick from Aeotec also uses the same chip and it is cheaper currently than the SONOFF and ZBT-1. Lately more units have been released, specially by sonoff with the Dongle Max and the Plus MG24.
Hopefully the ZBT-1 works well for you, feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
