I use zigbee2mqtt with a bunch of temp sensors and some have a very weak or no signal.
I bought a couple of tuya usb repeaters, paired them with zigbee2mqtt but havent really seen an imporvement.
Do I need to configure them somehow?
one device looks like it is talking to the repeater, but the others aren’t.
(Almost) every Zigbee device on mains is a repeater/router, no need for dedicated repeaters. Make the mesh more dense, using smart bulbs or sockets and wait. The network will rearrange, but it can take several hours to even days.
I dont have any mains zigbee devices - they are all battery powered.
That’s why I bought the two new USB repeaters.
You bought them already, but these have been proven to cause network stability issues. They black hole traffic from non tuya devices under certain circumstances.
Better buy either
Ok, I bought an Ikea outlet!
But have an issue with it. If I bind a new device with it powered on, the device doesnt configure correctly.
In the image I bound devices 1 - 5 without the outlet powered.
I then powered the outlet and bound it.
Then I bound device 6 - it connected but isnt not working.
Did you ever figure this out? I have similar issues.
