Zigbee Rotary Knob has no function

Hey Guys,
I just got a (pretty expensive - 68€) rotary knob today.
My plan was to use if for controlling Music assistant as a remote. It has four buttons and a rotary dial. Would be very good for “play, pause, forward, backward”.
The feel is awesome - the dial is buttery-smooth…but:

I just has no function. In ZHA I have found it, but it does not have any entities or does report any data back.
I have no model number (which I found to be a general issue with Zigbee with ZHA).

Has anyone ever seen this device and has any idea how to get it to work?

Where did you buy it? There must be some model or manufacturer name?

Yes - trusty Aliexpress
See here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/1005006912387137.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.17.47255c5ftvqgSg&gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt

Actually it is cheaper when the region is set to US (which I did because I have had it in German).

Would be interesting to try on zigbee2mqtt, but I’m not paying that much to try one out.

What do you actually see in home assistant?

Noting useful - I guess:

@Jcarlier unfortunately this know is completely different.
I first also thought about buying it, but the one I have is nicer (if working) due to the additional buttons that I planned to use for pause, play forward etc.

But for each button (press, right,…) you can activate an action (pause, play

If you have 10 buttons , This gives 10 possibilities of action

Click the + button in the automation section, and proceed from there.

And it gives you immensely useful information. The string starting _TZE200 is something you should Google.

Sure I searched that - which will yield a random assortment of Zigbee switches of any kind.
None of them is close or similar to the one I have.
That was the very first thing I tried.

When clicking on automations - what to chose - if something has no status and no entities and the entities also have no sub-properties, there is just nothing to automate.

Please show the the screenshot when you click ‘plus’.

If there are other devices with the same model number, they are using the same firmware. Stop sweating about how it looks.

Its in german, but:

Says “if device is offline, if firmware is up to date, if update-availability changes, if there is an update”.

So not something like this?

Whooops - I went already down one level - but there is actually no real other information in the menu:

I guess there is more or less no way to get it to work.
I even shortly changed my Zigbee-Integration to Zigbee2Mqtt and this is the result:

Very hard when you keep posting in German, but keep drilling down.

Well - I guess the symbols are the same everywhere. But my HA is in German - but not my posts.
I found that the device has a Tuya ZS3L inside. So I guess I’ll give using a Tuya Gateway one final try then it will be sent back to PRC.
