I am trying to setup my HA for thread and zigbee usage. I’m currently running a Home Assistant Green with multiple Apple TVs as Thread Routers.
On my HA Green I have one USB port with a Bluetooth 5.3 adapter and the other with a ZBT-2 (setup as thread). The bluetooth adapter was something I had laying around and curiously plugged in. Once I did, I was able to discover many HomeKit devices.
Remove Bluetooth adapter and connect HK devices alternatively?
Setup ZBT-2 as zigbee coordinator
Setup an additional Raspberry Pi with some sort of zigbee adapter plugged in and add to home assistant somehow. I have a Skyconnect ZBT-1 that I’m not using.
Purchase something outside of this that provides Zigbee integration.
Lastly, on former attempts I have used ZHA in HA which was pretty straightforward. However, I see a ton of recommendation on ZigbeeMQTT. What are the advantages and consideration for any options listed above?
