The issue I’m having is that changes to the current temperature and scheduled temperature don’t seem to be updated frequently. Indeed, “last updated” can be 10 hours ago, making it impossible to drive a heating system off these valves.
Back in the days of using the Tuya app, I would get up-to-the-minute updates as to these values from the valves.
What can I do to make these more reliable? I suspect that they are communicating, but the data is being lost.
Looking at MQTT Explorer, it looks like the devices are just doing their own thing.
For example, they will repeat the same message for 10 hours straight, even though the temperature has changed many times over.
Firmware appears to be up to date.
Contact the vendor for a firmware update.
It can only be fixed on the device.
One of the biggest backdraw of Tuya is the lack of a brand stability, so updates are often impossible to get and at best extremely rare.
You get what you pay for is true here.
my recent TS0601 also waits too long to update the values in HA. On the lcd I see other values than these in HA dashboard. When I check the sensor in HA it say ‘1h ago’ or ‘2h ago’. These devices are indeed not useable to drive a heating system. I didn’t find an option to adjust refresh rate.
Then my TS0201 T&H sensor at half the price works better.
The TS0601 has a bigger display and also clock &date on it, but in HA these are too slow. I tried this one for the 3x AAA batteries over the CR2032 devices, but no luck.
