Zigbee weak spot zha

Hey all ,

Looking for some advice please .
I have some zigbee router relays in a cupboard for ufh . 90% of the time fine - but occasionally an on/off gets missed . Visualisation shows grey and red - so not the best signal strength . I’ve added extra plugs ( so sole repeaters are effectively the same ? ) - to try and get some green lines to neighbors but no joy . I’m looking reluctantly at the option of re wiring the relays outside the cupboard just to improve signal .
I googled a device that I assume doesn’t exist  - like a zigbee repeater with rj45 to another repeater I.e wireless connection to wired then back again …
The nearest router to the relays is less than 2m away but the chunky wardrobe is posing to be an obstacle.
Any suggestions welcome .

Cheers

Have you tried the IKEA extenders? They get good reviews. You can power them by USB. You are right, as far as I know the device you talk about does not exist. The closest would be a PoE coordinator flashed with router firmware, but it will not communicate over the cable, it will do it by wifi.

I haven’t tried them specifically.
But I have plenty of Tuya plugs nearby which act as repeaters .
Does a dedicated repeater do a better job than a device which happens to be a router ? ( or it it simply a matter of trial and error ? )

Dedicated routers can handle more devices then e.g. a plug.
