Ok, so im sitting here after large zigbee2mqtt (and HA) update after about 9 months, and all my devices work as expected but i can no longer add new devices nor can i repair previous devices. Any help is appreciated. Here is the full story:

Couple of days ago:
The system was running perfectly fine, but nothing was updated in about 9 months (SLZB-06, HA, z2m). But i was still able to add new devices to Z2M, all automations and devices were working as well. I had purchased a bunch of new aqara T2 bulbs, and when adding to z2m, it adds successfully but it is an unrecognised device (still works but with some issues) - its because z2m was not updated to have device details for Aqare t2 bulbs. Anyway, i decided to do a FULL update to HA / SLZB-06 / Z2M / etc…
Doing the update:
Update went ok-ish. Z2M did not start up. I hit the pan id issue described here. I followed the instructions, changed the pan id, z2m started, changed the pan id back, z2m started fine but without any devices, but then copied over the database backup file (all in the instructions from the link), and all seems to be fine. Everything worked, automations worked etc. Z2M has nice new interface now.
Now:
I attempted to add an aqara T2 bulb (yes, converted to zigbee mode), permit join (all), put it in pairing mode, nothing. Repeat… nothing. No bulb appears on Z2M devices. [all existing devices through z2m still work fine].
I attempted to remove one of my living room bulbs and re-pair it to test (older aqara T1 bulb), it deletes fine. permit join (all) again, put the bulb into pairing mode, bulb brinks few times, then stops blinking, but nothing on Z2M devices. Repeat… nothing.
So i cannot get zigbee devices to connect to Z2M anymore, wtf is going on? I dont even know where to begin to start debugging this issue. The existing zigbee network works just fine (well, it seems fine atleast), i just cant add anything anymore. I feel like when i put something to pairing mode, it gets paired up to some other zigbee network or something (the aqara T1 bulb stops blinking - i think implies that it connected to another network, correct me if im wrong). I do not have any other zigbee hub, just the one SMLight SLZB-06 configured to use with the ONE instance of HA Z2M.
Any suggestions or insights are very much appreciated.
