Zigbee2mqtt - Frient Keypad - LED's & Arming Modes not working

Good evening again from Austria,

Got another problem, i read articles from a month ago about that and it should be working now, but it isn’t.

I’ve a Frient Keypad connected by Zigbee2mqtt and I’ve git 2 Problems:

  1. The status lights and sound on the keypad doesn’t work, no red, green or yellow lights are flashing when code accepted or alarm is arming ( i use alarmo) or any other function, my other keypad ( Ring Keypad 2 via z-wave) is working well, giving sounds and tts messages and the lights work.

At least i try to install the zigbee2mqtt beta version, configured mqtt and testet it, also not working ( i read on web this could help), no lights, no sounds, just the single beep sound each button i press.

  1. Problem i have is the function with alarmo again, when i configure Alarmo to only Arm the system with Code entry ( i plan to use the frient keypad outside and don’t want to give other persons infront my door the possibility to arm my alarm system) it isn’t working. I can press the button on keypad to arm any mode and it’s arming, still without any code, on the ring keypad ( Ring Keypad 2) it’s working well and doesn’t arm without the code.

Anyone same problems and a work around ?

Greetings

I use Zigbee2MQTT and Frient intelligent keypad KEPZB-110 with alarmo and blueprint from Bygood91 and i have the same problem with no feedback by status lights/colors on my keypad.

It worked with ZHA though, but there i had other compability problems with ZHA, Alarmo and the keypad, So i would really like it to work with Zigbee2MQTT.

Please tell me if anyone found a solution or workaround.

Maybe off topic, but I managed to have Frient + Alarmo + ZHA setup work, with this Add Exit/Entry Delay Support for IAS ACE Alarm Panels by malywut · Pull Request #664 · zigpy/zha · GitHub and Add support for ZHA alarm exit delay and entry delay by malywut · Pull Request #163709 · home-assistant/core · GitHub
But if others would like to test it, it would be helpful!

I have a frient Sensor 2 Pet and are quite disappointed with it since our dog still triggers the lights in the hallway and the other way around it doesn’t seem to pick up constant motion good enough.

Bought it around Christmas and and only installed it a few days ago so I can’t turn it back.

There are mixed reviews out there for the frient products and it seems they might not be worth the money.
