Zigbee2MQTT has socket error

I am new to Zigbee so I am trying to get my first device working.

The Mosquitto broker is running. But I am struggling with the ZIgbee2MQTT.

I just added a SMLight SLZB-06 as I need to extend the range of a sensor over zigbee.

The sensor and the SLZB-06 are found as devices in the ZigBee Home Automation integration. The SLZB-06 shows the sesnor as a connect device. But I want the sensor 20 metres from the front door and at the moment the range is only about 3 metres.

I am not sude if this is the right approach but its what I figured out from all the Smart Home expert videos

If I get this happening then I can installl the additional devices I want.

Any help would be appreciated.

Disable ZHA (ZigBee Home Automation) and Zigbee2MQTT will be able to find your SLZB-06. Only one Zigbee integration can use the same coordinator at the same time.

I disabled the ZHA and that pushed the vibration sensor over to be discovered by the Zigbee2MQTT dashboard.

But now the vibration device (Tuya like brand) is discovered but Availability is Disabled. I have factory reset; plus removed the batteries. Nothing will register.

Left it overnight, reboot HA. Shaken the sensor to death.

Any ideas on how to get it to work? It worked under ZHA.

It started to work again. Some how the name had changed.

five days later

I moved the device to a front room in the town house and it added ten metres to the range.
I then moved it to the upstairs verandah and it seems to reach the extra five metres to the mailbox.

Now I need to work out a way to trigger the sensor when a letter is poped into the mailbox.

Still cannot reach the mail box…

Does anyone know a really powerfull vibration sensor?

It needs a ranger of 20-30 metres to overlap with the Zigbee adaptor from SMLight.
