Ziggo Modem integration (DOCSIS signal monitoring & diagnostics)

Ziggo Modem integration (DOCSIS monitoring & diagnostics)

I’ve created a custom Home Assistant integration for monitoring Ziggo cable modems (Sagemcom).

This integration uses the modem’s local API and provides detailed insight into signal quality, connection health and DOCSIS metrics — fully local, no cloud required.

:sparkles: Features

  • Modem status & uptime
  • Downstream signal analysis (power, SNR, channels)
  • Upstream monitoring (power, timeouts)
  • Error tracking (SC-QAM & OFDM)
  • Speed profile detection (download / upload in Mbit/s)
  • Cable quality classification
  • Binary sensors for connectivity issues

:wrench: Controls

  • Integration pause
  • Session release (useful when UI login is blocked)
  • Modem reboot

:bar_chart: What you get

  • Clear overview of DOCSIS signal quality
  • Detection of cable issues
  • Monitoring of upstream timeouts
  • Insight into your actual provisioned speed profile

:warning: Notes

  • Works only locally (default modem IP: 192.168.100.1)
  • Designed for Ziggo Sagemcom modems
  • Uses undocumented API (may change with firmware updates)

:package: Installation

HACS (recommended)
